The Hidden Drive-In

Tucked away in bespoke alleys and private parkades, The Hidden Drive-In showcases live concerts and screens films on a 30 foot display, popping up all around Downtown Columbus.

The Previews: Socially distanced musicians or magicians perform live as dinner is delivered to your car window.

Dinner: We’ve partnered with restaurants in Downtown Columbus to offer varied menus at each of our socially distanced events. Our launch weekend will feature some of the best BBQ in town.

Show: We screen from a list of curated modern films and classics.

Our Vision: At a time when artists are facing major challenges, music lovers are staying behind closed doors, and film lovers are watching alone, we are creating socially distanced events for emotional and mental wellness, that are separate but together.

The Launch: As we continue to test equipment, hardware, and technology that fits with legal regulations, licensing and permits, we are inviting you to be an early supporter. Your ticket purchase for a movie + concert on the weekend of June 12-13 will help fund the $4,000+ of equipment expenses we need to get this started and do it right.

Early Supporters: If you get a ticket for our launch weekend, you’ll be invited to join a private Facebook group. We’ll ask more questions about your favorite movies, artists, update you on progress, and send discounts to future events.

614 Day 2020

614 Day happens every June 14th (get it, 6/14?) and is a day to celebrate Columbus and all that the capital city has to offer. From the people, the food, and local businesses, to the music, the art, and community. Those participating in 614 Day are encouraged to celebrate local across the city. It is a day where we wear our favorite Columbus t-shirt, we eat local, we drink local, we buy local, we support local and we show our pride in our local community.

Last year, for the first time ever, 614 Day was recognized by Columbus City Council and what an honor that 614 Day is now recognized as an official holiday in the city.

This year, the event is taking a new shape and form with three components:

  • TWO STUDIOS LIVE STREAM: Throughout the day, live streaming between two local studios will take place featuring incredible 614-inspired content from local influencers, musicians and artists via Facebook Live.

  • 614 MARKETPLACE: Imagine a live expo tradeshow gone digital – this is it. Vendors from across the region will be able to exhibit virtually at tables and in lounges within this online software platform. Lovers of all things 614 will be invited to attend, visit, and interact with vendors live.

  • LIVE!: Live events are the heart and soul of this city we know and love. Since we are unable to host an in-person event like in a normal year, a drive-in movie and drive-through food & brew will take place.
