Are you ready for a full-week of Columbus’ best documentaries on the big screen?

Columbus Documentary Week, the only documentary celebration of its kind, begins Thursday Apr 26 and goes through Sunday May 6 at the Gateway Film Center (1550 N High Street Columbus).

Once a year, GFC president and head programmer Chris Hamel selects the best, boldest and brightest documentaries from around the world and plays them all in one place, for one week only.

As one of the finest collections of docs anywhere, Columbus Documentary Week is often a bellwether for the Academy Awards, regularly screening all best documentary nominees before they are announced.

Now an expanded eleven-day festival, Columbus Documentary Week includes 31 controversial, thoughtful and insightful documentaries including stories behind extraordinary art, music, cultural issues and human beings around the globe.
