Durham’s The Pinkerton Raid Heading to Columbus

At a time in American history where we may feel more divided than ever, a group of talented musicians from Durham, North Carolina have found a way to create soul-shifting vocals and rhythms that remind us we are all in this together.

The Pinkerton Raid, along with Reddy Freddy and Mystic Mamba, will be sharing their story-telling music at the Rumba Café (2507 Summit St. Columbus) this Tuesday Jul 10. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased online at https://www.ticketweb.com/event/reddy-freddy-the-pinkerton-raid-rumba-cafe-tickets/8331285?REFERRAL_ID=twfb.

Headed by front-man Jesse James DeConto on vocals and guitar, The Pinkerton Raid consists of band members Scott McFarlane (drums and trumpet), Jon Depue (bass), Steven DeConto (guitars, drums and keys) and Tony Sali (sax, percussion and keys). Together the band will take listeners on a spiritual journey through the divided areas in our communities, reminding us all the importance of unity, love and tolerance.

With a Bob Dylan/Arlo Guthrie sound, this indie-esque group brings an earthy and powerful feel to their music. The Pinkerton Raid’s newest album, Where the Wildest Spirits Fly, is streaming at https://soundcloud.com/pinkertonraid/sets/where-the-wildest-spirits-fly-preview.
