Roll Over To The Pinwheel Planting

More than 118,000 Americans are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant, today. April is National Donate Life Month and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is doing their part to bring awareness.

You are invited to join OSU Wexner Medical Center (410 W 10th Avenue Columbus) on Sunday Apr 8 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. to plant 9,000 pinwheels on the plaza, representing every organ transplant performed at OSU Wexner Medical since 1967.

The ceremony and planting will take place on the outdoor green space in front of the Wexner Medical Center. Please dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather.

Parking is available in the SafeAuto Hospitals Garage, next to the plaza (1585 Westpark Street Columbus).

Often following a storm, the presence of a rainbow provides optimism and motivates us to endure through dark times. Similarly, organ, eye and tissue donation is the bridge of comfort and hope between one family’s mourning and another’s healing — turning tragedy into renewed life.

Come help celebrate renewed life this Sunday at OSU Wexner Medical’s Pinwheel Planting.
